The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nimbou stuffs the takedown.
Nimbou throws a leg kick but Seagal sees it coming and checks it nicely.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nimbou tries to roll over but Seagal keeps him under control.

Nimbou tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Seagal wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Seagal has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Nimbou!

Seagal is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nimbou has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nimbou leaves Seagal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Seagal quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Seagal but it's paid off an Nimbou is forced to tap! Nice work by Seagal.
