Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Rich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Shields!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rich takes the fight into the clinch.

Rich is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shields sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shields tries for a takedown but Rich circles away easily

and Rich counters with a head kick that drops Shields to the mat! Shields scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shields shoots in but Rich avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shields throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rich's waist but Rich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shields off to one side.
Rick Rich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Shields.
Rich connects with a right that clearly hurt Shields. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Rich proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Shields collapses and taps out under the pressure!
