Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alpha Male (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jambo Alvez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jambo Alvez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alpha Male!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jambo Alvez!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alvez fails with a takedown attempt.
Alvez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Male sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alvez somewhat.
Alvez slips a jab and a cross from Male.
Male tries to clinch there but Alvez circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Male looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alvez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Male's waist but Male gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alvez off to one side.
Alpha Male has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jambo Alvez.

Male leaves Alvez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like Alvez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Alvez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Alvez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Male moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Alvez shoots in and bounces Male off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Male is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Alvez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Alvez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Alvez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Alvez is rocked!
Male darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Alvez's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Male before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
