Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spike Dudley!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudley shoots for a takedown but Dixon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dudley stuffs the takedown.
Dixon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dudley tries to close the distance and clinch but Dixon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dudley fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Dudley does no damage.
Dudley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dixon circles away.
Greg Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spike Dudley.

Dixon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dudley shoots in looking for a takedown but Dixon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dudley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dixon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dixon tries to sprawl but Dudley drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dixon holds on and takes a little breather.
Dudley won't allow Dixon to sweep him here.

Dixon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dudley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dudley is fighting to break Dixon's control of his arms but Dixon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dixon kicks Dudley off and gets to his feet.
Dixon moves in looking to clinch but Dudley pushes him off.
Dudley tries a head kick but it misses.
Dixon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dudley counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dixon is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Dudley pushes Dixon off looking to stand but Dixon dives back in and keeps control.

Dudley tries to kick Dixon off but Dixon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Dudley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dixon pulls his head out easily.

Dixon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dudley sees it coming and defends easily.

Dixon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dixon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dudley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dixon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dudley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dixon is in Dudley's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dudley is trying to control the position but Dixon postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dixon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dudley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dudley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dixon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Dixon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dudley throws a push kick but Dixon slaps the foot to one side.

Dudley slips a jab and a cross from Dixon.
Dixon wants to clinch up but Dudley keeps it at a distance.
Dudley doesn't manage to clinch there - Dixon circles away.
Dudley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dixon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dudley swats away the attempt to clinch by Dixon.
Dudley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dixon.

and Dixon counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Dudley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Dixon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dudley down.

Dixon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dudley to his feet.

Dixon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dudley is looking to stand up but Dixon isn't so interested in that idea.
