And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sugar Ray Myers!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers needs to keep his hands up - Sayan had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Sugar Ray Myers has been cut.
Sayan throws a sloppy head kick and Myers moves out of range easily.
Sayan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Myers lands a nice looking body kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Myers enables Sayan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Myers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sayan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Myers has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sayan has passed into side control.
Sayan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Myers!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sayan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Myers misses with a takedown attempt

and Sayan moves into the clinch.
Myers is trying to pull guard but Sayan has him pressed against the cage.
Ivan Sayan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sugar Ray Myers.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sayan.

Sayan has picked Myers up - he's going for a ride! Sayan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Myers is trying to control but Sayan manages to pass to mount!

Sayan working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Myers turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sayan off and cradles Myers's limp body as Sayan celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ivan Sayan!
