The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hertz.

Hertz throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson.

and Hertz counters with a single leg into guard. Nelson didn't expect that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nelson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hertz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nelson is keeping the position for now.
Hertz is stalling in the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nelson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hertz.
Hertz misses with a straight right.
Hertz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hertz is in Nelson's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hertz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hertz stands and throws Nelson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nelson seems a little lost for a moment, as Hertz dominates the positioning.
Hertz in side control lands a decent elbow.
Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hertz scores with a couple of short elbows.
Nelson is rocked!
Hertz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nelson, who protects the arm well.
Nelson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oh Nelson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hertz scores with a couple of short elbows.

Hertz is trying to get an arm triangle but Nelson is defending well.
Hertz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Nelson!

Hertz unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Nelson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hertz celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dick Hertz!
Dick Hertz bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
