The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brunner tries to close the distance and clinch but Ishimaru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brunner fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nice body punch from Ishimaru.
Brunner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ishimaru stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brunner blocks the body kick.
Ishimaru darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brunner wants to get back to full guard.
Brunner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brunner.
Brunner is looking for a triangle but Ishimaru pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brunner is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ishimaru has his hands clasped together but Brunner extends an breaks Ishimaru's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brunner.
