Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chen Shui Bai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes into the arena with For Whom The Bell Tolls blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Lyoto Machida has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida throws a series of punches but Shui Bai moves out of range.
Machida takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Machida keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Shui Bai tries a low kick but Machida avoids it.
Shui Bai thows a leg kick but Machida checks it
and Machida counters with a thumping low kick.
Nice defenses there by Shui Bai.

Machida throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shui Bai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machida avoids it really well and circles away.

Machida lands a big head kick that sends Shui Bai tumbling to the mat! Machida takes a step backwards and waves Shui Bai back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Chen Shui Bai has been cut.

Machida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shui Bai shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Shui Bai is looking to land body kicks.
Shui Bai has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Machida.

Machida connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shui Bai. Shui Bai circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Chen Shui Bai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shui Bai is trying desperately to land a takedown but Machida is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Shui Bai.

Shui Bai throws a front kick aimed at Machida's knee but Machida avoids it well.

and Machida counters with a head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Machida takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Machida.
Machida cracks Shui Bai with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Machida has cracked Shui Bai with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Machida lands another huge swinging hook and Shui Bai tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Shui Bai, before Machida can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lyoto Machida!
After the fight, Lyoto Machida was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
