The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Whentworth counters with a stiff right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Whentworth looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That kick from Whentworth tenderised Xu's leg. Xu is trying to keep his angry face on.

Whentworth is pressed against the cage. Xu pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Whentworth! Two more big strikes from Xu and Whentworth crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
