Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cirilo Galiei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cirilo Galiei has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cirilo Galiei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ferguson gets to his feet. Galiei looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Galiei wants to clinch

and Ferguson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Galiei is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ferguson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Galiei to the mat. Galiei regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

and Ferguson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ferguson is trying to pull guard but Galiei turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ferguson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Galiei closes the distance but Ferguson moves to the side

and Ferguson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Galiei wants to stand up but Ferguson is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ferguson decides to stand back up. Ferguson steps back and let's Galiei get back to his feet.
Ferguson shoots for a double leg takedown but Galiei sprawls well. He's pushed Ferguson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cirilo Galiei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Ferguson.
Galiei moves to clinch but Ferguson breaks away
and Ferguson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Galiei is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Ferguson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Galiei avoids it really well and circles away.

Ferguson moves into the clinch successfully.
Ferguson is trying to drag Galiei to the mat but Galiei just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Galiei tries to throw a body punch but Ferguson avoids it by throwing Galiei back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferguson drops back looking for a leg! Galiei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Galiei manages to kick Ferguson off! Ferguson jumps back into Galiei's guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ferguson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Galiei avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ferguson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Galiei pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ferguson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ferguson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ferguson seems to be looking for submissions.
Galiei really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Josh Ferguson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ferguson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Josh Ferguson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ferguson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
