The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houses shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bermudez pinned against the cage. Bermudez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bermudez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Houses stuffs the takedown.

Houses shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bermudez's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Houses is stalling in the full guard.
Bermudez is looking to stand up but Houses isn't so interested in that idea.
Bermudez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Houses will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Houses has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Houses is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bermudez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Houses is working for a guillotine from mount but Bermudez frees his head quite easily.

Bermudez wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Houses has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Bermudez taps furiously! This one is all over!
