PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Mack had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Travis Black!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack shoots in and drives through. Black sprawls well.
Mack dodges the punch combination from Black.
Black throws a nice looking combination but Mack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Black throws a one two combo.
Black keeps the fight on the outside.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mack paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Black is looking to clinch.
Black throws a left that rocks Mack and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Black dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Mack regain composure!

Mack is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Black has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mack!
Oh Mack is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Black looking to control but Mack is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Black pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Black scoring with strikes but Mack is staying in there.
Black has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mack takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The referee warns Mack that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack tries to reverse the position but Black maintains control.
Black lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Black loads up with a big shot that hurts Mack! He's pulled Black in close but Black has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Mack survive? More strikes from Black and Mack is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
