The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aldo . That did some damage!
Aldo throws a head kick but Mayhem moves out of range.
Mayhem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aldo is fending him off so far but Mayhem persists. Nope, Aldo circles away and we're back to standing.
Mayhem doesn't manage to clinch there - Aldo circles away.
Mayhem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mayhem swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mayhem blocks a head kick by Aldo .
Mayhem fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aldo avoids it really well and circles away.
Aldo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Aldo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aldo throws a sloppy head kick and Mayhem moves out of range easily.

Mayhem misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mayhem fails to land with a series of punches.

Mayhem throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Aldo .
Mayhem misses with a double jab.
Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Mayhem misses with a jab, cross combination.
Aldo swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Mayhem gets a double leg takedown into Aldo 's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Aldo wants to sweep here but Mayhem controlling him for the moment.
Aldo is trying to keep Mayhem in close.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aldo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mayhem manages to get himself to full guard.
Mayhem wants to stand up but Aldo is controlling him.
