Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Lobe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenny Calculus!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Calculus defends it nicely.
Calculus tries to score with a low kick but Lobe moves his leg out of the way.
Lobe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Calculus but Calculus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Calculus slaps away a takedown attempt from Lobe, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Lobe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A clash of legs there as Lobe blocks the low kick.
Calculus lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lobe misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Calculus to counter with a crisp jab.
Lobe on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lobe.
Calculus tries to bum rush Lobe with a series of wild strikes but Lobe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Calculus stuffs the takedown attempt from Lobe. Lobe gets slowly back to his feet.

Calculus turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lobe shoots for a double leg takedown but Calculus sprawls well. He's pushed Lobe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lobe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Calculus is fending him off so far but Lobe persists. Nope, Calculus circles away and we're back to standing.
Calculus scores with a hook.
Lobe closes the distance and clinches up with Calculus, looking for a takedown. Lobe pushes Calculus against the cage but Calculus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Calculus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lobe circles away quickly and effectively.

Lobe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Calculus wants to get back to his feet.
Lobe wants to free his trapped foot but Calculus is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Calculus is trying to stand back up but Lobe is controlling him
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lobe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lobe seems to be looking for submissions.
Lobe prevents Calculus from standing back up.
Lobe looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lobe stops Calculus from getting back to his feet.

Lobe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Lobe is working for a kimura but Calculus is defending it quite comfortably.

Lobe prevents Calculus from standing back up.
Lobe wants to pass the guard but Calculus is defending well.
Lobe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Lobe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Calculus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lobe.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Calculus is refusing to be controlled, as Lobe sits in half guard.
Calculus is trying to stand.

Lobe scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Calculus is looking to control Lobe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Calculus avoid being mounted?
Calculus tries to kick Lobe off but Lobe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Lobe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Calculus sees it coming and defends easily.

Calculus makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Calculus stuffs the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lobe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Calculus stuffs the takedown attempt from Lobe. Lobe gets slowly back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lobe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Calculus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenny Calculus dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lobe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Calculus tries to avoid it but Lobe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Calculus to the ground. Calculus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Calculus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lobe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lobe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Calculus as he jumps to the side.
Calculus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Calculus misses with a double jab.

and Calculus counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Lobe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Calculus, right into the meat.

and Calculus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lobe tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lobe walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Calculus connects with a body shot.
Calculus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Calculus thuds his right hand into Lobe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kenny Calculus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Calculus cracks Lobe on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Lobe falls backwards against the cage. Calculus follows up with more strikes that drop Lobe to his knees. Calculus keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Lobe! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Calculus!
