Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Muntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Average (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nelson Muntz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Average!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Average shoots in for a double leg but Muntz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Muntz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Muntz throws a combination that misses

and Average counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Average is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Average prevents Muntz from standing back up.
Average seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Muntz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Average lands a nice short elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Average wants to take a breather but Muntz is having none of it.
Muntz pushes Average off looking to stand but Average dives back in and keeps control.
Average missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Average is keen to just control but Muntz is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Average is nestled in close to Muntz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Average is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Muntz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Average.

Muntz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Average scores with a couple of nice shots.
Average takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Average is trying to control the action in half guard but Muntz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Average has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Average not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Average thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Average is pressing down on Muntz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Muntz is holding on for now.

Muntz tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Average manages to move to mount!

Muntz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Muntz is in a horrible position here. Average smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Average pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Muntz gets back to half guard.
Average throwing shots but Muntz is blocking nicely.
Muntz tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Average has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Average avoids the attempt from Muntz to control.
Muntz is desperately trying to improve his position but Average has a good base and remains in mount.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Average cracks Muntz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Average controlling the pace for now.
Average fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Muntz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Muntz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Muntz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Average shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muntz but Muntz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Average looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Muntz!
Muntz tries to hold on but Average pushes him away.
Average lands a nice shot to the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Muntz is desperately trying to improve his position but Average has a good base and remains in mount.

The referee warns Muntz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Average looking to finish Muntz with some ground and pound. This is bad for Muntz!

Muntz is in all sorts of trouble here.

Muntz is squirming around, avoiding Average's attempts to control the action.

Muntz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Muntz is bucking up trying to escape but Average cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Muntz is rocked!
Muntz wants to control but Average is having none of it.
Average lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oh Muntz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Average is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Muntz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Average is landing with some decent strikes but Muntz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Average postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Muntz in real trouble here! The ref calls for Muntz to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Average!
