Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Redknack Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Vector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob's entrance music is Momma said knock you out. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Vector's choice of entrance music: Metallica : Whiplash. Vinnie Vector has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Redknack Bob's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Redknack Bob!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinnie Vector!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vector misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vector throws a sloppy head kick and Bob moves out of range easily.
Redknack Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob shoots in and drives through. Vector sprawls well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Bob takes the fight into the clinch.
Bob drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vector gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vector throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Bob works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Bob throws and elbow that misses. Vector uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bob's guard. Nice move by Vector!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vector lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bob tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vector doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vector manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bob postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vector is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bob, into his guard.
Bob is breathing heavily.
Vector wants to get up but he can't break Bob's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bob thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bob is trying to keep Vector in close.
Vector must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Vector really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Vector connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Vector drops Bob with a right and a left! Vector comes rushing in but Bob regains his composure and manages to keep Vector in guard.

It looks like Redknack Bob has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vector stands and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Oh Bob is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bob seems to have got his legs back now.
Bob manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bob moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Vector throws a series of punches but Bob moves out of range.

Vector lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bob tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bob is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vector is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vector can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob wants to control from the top but Vector keeps moving.
Bob working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bob throws a strike but Vector rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vector sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Bob throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vector escapes and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Bob sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Vector is trying to control the action in half guard but Bob is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bob wants to improve his position but Vector is controlling well.
Bob is staying active underneath Vector, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vector is thwarting Bob's attempts to control the position.
Vector tries to stand and escape but Bob is controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob tries to roll over but Vector keeps him under control.

Bob fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vector sprawls well initially but Bob persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Vector!

Bob escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vector gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Redknack Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bob is trying to hold Vector in close to prevent damage but Vector has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bob wants to improve his position but Vector is controlling well.

Vector seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bob does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vector lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Bob tries to move to mount but Vector blocks the move with his legs.
Vector is trying to improve his position.
Vector is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bob asserts his dominance and retains side control.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Bob shoots in looking for a takedown. Vector tries to sprawl out of it but Bob keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vector manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bob avoids the head kick by Vector.

Bob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vector moves away.

Bob seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Vector is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
