Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Young Squad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Young Squad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Jones!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Squad pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Squad breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Squad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Squad is very close to passing his half guard.

Squad decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Squad as he jumps to the side.

Squad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Squad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Squad pinned against the cage. Squad gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Young Squad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Jones.

Squad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Squad moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Squad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Squad defends it easily.
Squad tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Squad takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Squad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Squad looks to move to half guard but instead Jones has passed into mount! Damn!

Squad is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jones wants to take Squad's back here but Squad is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Squad wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

A close second round but Anderson Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Squad.
Squad tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Young Squad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Squad tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Squad somewhat.

and Squad makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Squad closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard.

Squad wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Squad has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jones thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Squad feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Squad frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Squad is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
