Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nebolath Nabochadnezzar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cain Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nabochadnezzar closes the distance looking to clinch

and Velasquez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nabochadnezzar misses with a knee to the head.
Nabochadnezzar looking to throw knees to the head but Velasquez is blocking nicely.
Velasquez managing to block the knees to the body from Nabochadnezzar.
Nabochadnezzar tries to land a knee to the head but Velasquez blocks with his arms.

Velasquez turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Velasquez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nabochadnezzar some visible discomfort.

and Velasquez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Velasquez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nabochadnezzar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Velasquez is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Velasquez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nabochadnezzar can't fight it off and eventually Velasquez manages to take the fight to the floor. Nabochadnezzar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well Velasquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
