Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Clover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvester Snell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clover drives through with a takedown into Snell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Clover drops back looking for a leg! Snell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Snell manages to kick Clover off! Clover jumps back into Snell's guard.
Snell pulls Clover in close to his closed guard and prevents Clover from doing any damage or advancing position.

Clover drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Snell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clover has Snell in his guard.

Clover has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Snell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Clover had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snell defends it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clover not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Clover is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snell defends well.

Clover escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Snell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clover has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Snell has managed to get both his arms back between Clover's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Clover has his foot on Snell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snell works his way back into a safe position though.
Snell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clover. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Snell looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Clover chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Snell can pounce on him.

No joy there for Clover, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Snell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
