Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between HordZ Hotene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puddin Pops (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pops has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pops fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hotene moves into range and clinches up with Pops.
Pops is trying to break the clinch but Hotene is controlling him.
Pops tries to circle away but Hotene has him pinned against the cage.

Hotene breaks from the clinch.
Hotene throws a sloppy head kick and Pops moves out of range easily.
Hotene looks for the body kick but Pops saw that one coming.

Hotene shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hotene stays in close to Pops's body and controls the position.

Hotene drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hotene jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pops wants to stand up but Hotene is controlling him.
Pops is wriggling around but Hotene manages to pass to half guard.
Pops looks winded!
Hotene is taking a breather. Pops says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pops looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pops really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hotene. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hotene is figuring out what he wants to do next.

We're going to have a standup here because HordZ Hotene wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
