Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sho Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dion Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watts is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by papa roach- scars. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sho Goon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dion Watts!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Watts to the mat! Watts manages to get full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Watts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Goon controls the pace.
Goon wants to pass the guard but Watts is keeping the position.
Goon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Goon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Goon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Watts wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sho Goon wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Goon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goon showed some decent athleticism there.

Watts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Goon controls the pace.
Watts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Watts is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Goon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Watts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Goon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sho Goon just wasn't active enough.

Goon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watts is staying active underneath Goon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Watts is trying to control the position but Goon postures up.

Watts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Goon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Watts has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Goon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Watts.

Goon slows the pace down.

Goon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Watts knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Goon decides to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Goon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goon passes the guard and advances to mount!
Goon wants to get back to his feet but Watts is holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Watts connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Goon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Watts's guard.

Goon wants to control from the top but Watts keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sho Goon wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Watts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goon pinned against the cage. Goon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horrible takedown by Watts or perhaps it was just good defense by Goon which made him look bad.

Goon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Watts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Goon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Watts keeping moving, preventing Goon from controlling successfully.

We're going to have a standup here because Sho Goon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Goon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Watts is being controlled here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Sho Goon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Goon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Goon goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Watts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Goon's guard! Nice work there by Watts!

Watts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Dion Watts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Watts takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Goon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Watts tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Goon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Watts is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Watts is not content to let Goon control the position.
Watts manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Goon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Goon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Watts is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Goon pulls his head out easily.

Goon slows the pace down in half guard.
Sho Goon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sho Goon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Goon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
