Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim So Moo Bii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim So Moo Bii!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reilly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moo Bii napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Reilly decides to stand back up.

Reilly looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Moo Bii is positioning himself well to prevent Reilly advancing to mount.
Moo Bii is looking for a sweep. Reilly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Reilly is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reilly is keen to just control but Moo Bii is a slippery customer.
Moo Bii is looking to control Reilly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moo Bii avoid being mounted?
Reilly trying to control from half guard but Moo Bii is working away.

Reilly is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Moo Bii has managed to free his arm - good work.
Reilly trying to control the action but Moo Bii is working from the bottom.
Moo Bii is looking to control Reilly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moo Bii avoid being mounted?
Moo Bii is not content to let Reilly control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reilly in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reilly dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moo Bii. That did some damage!
Reilly wants to clinch.

Reilly rushes Moo Bii and presses him up against the cage.

Reilly gets control of Moo Bii's arms and successfully pulls guard. Reilly will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Moo Bii wants to control from the top but Reilly keeps moving.
Reilly wants to sweep here but Moo Bii controlling him for the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reilly is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Moo Bii leaves Reilly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reilly thows a body shot but no joy.
Reilly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Moo Bii manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Reilly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Reilly is trying to control. Moo Bii wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Reilly seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Reilly winds up and cracks Moo Bii with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Moo Bii is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Reilly lands a nice shot to the head.
Moo Bii can't escape the position.

Reilly goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Moo Bii turns into him and now he's in Reilly's guard.
Reilly pulls Moo Bii in to control the position.

Joe Reilly has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Reilly keeps the fight on the outside.
Moo Bii dives in and grabs Reilly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reilly pushes down on Moo Bii's head and hops out.
Moo Bii is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Reilly counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Moo Bii is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Reilly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moo Bii sprawls well. Moo Bii wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reilly gets slowly back to his feet.

Moo Bii is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reilly sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Reilly lands a head kick. Moo Bii smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Reilly shoots in looking for a takedown but Moo Bii manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reilly's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Reilly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moo Bii rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reilly moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Moo Bii takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Reilly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moo Bii is fending him off so far but Reilly persists. Nope, Moo Bii circles away and we're back to standing.

Moo Bii postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reilly is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Moo Bii, into his guard.

Moo Bii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reilly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Reilly wants to control from the top but Moo Bii keeps moving.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Joe Reilly just wasn't active enough.
Moo Bii is looking to clinch but Reilly is avoiding it.

Reilly shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reilly showed some decent athleticism there.

Reilly is keen to just control but Moo Bii is a slippery customer.

Reilly passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Moo Bii!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Reilly.
Well Reilly has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
