Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erick Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kalamidad. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Villar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The strikes coming from Villar are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Villar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nate Hoy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Villar throws a head kick that misses
and Hoy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Villar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hoy as he jumps to the side.

Crunch! Hoy slams his shin into Villar's torso.
Hoy misses with a lunging right hand
and Villar counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Villar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Villar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoy pinned against the cage. Hoy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hoy jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Hoy counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Hoy looks at the referee who does nothing so Hoy lands a crushing right that sends Villar to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
