PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Temppa Turkulainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turkulainen comes to the cage accompanied by Smoke weed everyday. Caprillo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Temppa Turkulainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caio Cesar Caprillo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caprillo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Caprillo gets a double leg takedown into Turkulainen's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Caprillo trying to control the position from guard on top but Turkulainen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Turkulainen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Caprillo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Caprillo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Turkulainen doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Caprillo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Caprillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turkulainen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Turkulainen is trying to keep Caprillo in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caprillo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Turkulainen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Caprillo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Caprillo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caprillo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Caprillo slips nicely into half guard.
Turkulainen wants to control but Caprillo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Turkulainen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Caprillo tries to pass to full mount but Turkulainen defends it.

Caprillo is trying to work for a kimura but Turkulainen is defending well.

Turkulainen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Turkulainen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turkulainen working for a triangle but Caprillo defends it easily.
Caprillo passes into half guard.
Turkulainen is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Caprillo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caprillo is trying to control the action in half guard but Turkulainen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Caprillo is looking for a kimura here.
Caprillo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turkulainen!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Caprillo is landing with some decent strikes but Turkulainen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Caprillo working for a guillotine from mount but Turkulainen is in no mood to give up.
Caprillo controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Caprillo working for a submission but Turkulainen is keeping him at bay.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turkulainen in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Caprillo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caio Cesar Caprillo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Caprillo shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Turkulainen is on queer street and Caprillo is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Caio Cesar Caprillo!
A victorious Caio Cesar Caprillo thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
