Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Segre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero has chosen Fozzy's "Shine Forever" as his entrance music. Gabe Segre has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabe Segre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Zero!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Segre defends it nicely.
Zero drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Segre could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zero tries to stand but Segre is controlling from the bottom.
Zero wants to stand and escape but instead Segre has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Zero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Segre is controlling him.
Segre is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zero wants to sweep but no luck.
Zero trying to keep a closed guard but Segre is proving a slippery customer.
Segre working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Segre or perhaps it was just good defense by Zero which made him look bad.
Zero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Segre avoids it really well and circles away.
Segre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Segre but Segre pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gabe Segre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Zero.
Segre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zero is fending him off so far but Segre persists. Nope, Zero circles away and we're back to standing.
Segre throws a nice looking combination but Zero bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Segre's waist but Segre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zero off to one side.
Zero looks winded!
Segre misses with a takedown attempt - Zero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Zero blocks the body kick.
Zero on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Zero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Segre as he jumps to the side.
Zero leaves Segre with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Zero fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Segre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Segre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Segre on his heels. He'll look to pass Segre's guard now, I'm sure.

Segre looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zero is one step ahead there.
Zero tries to free his leg and advance position but Segre is retaining full guard.
Segre has Zero pulled in close to control his posture.
Segre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zero's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zero has his foot on Segre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Segre works his way back into a safe position though.

Zero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Segre is controlling him.
Zero wants to control the position but Segre says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Zero wants to improve his position but Segre is controlling well.
Segre not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Zero is looking to escape.
Zero wants to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Segre is taking a breather. Zero says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Zero blocking the ground and pound attempt from Segre.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ray Zero will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Segre has managed to clinch.
Zero changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Segre fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Segre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Segre tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Zero counters with a nice double leg into side control. Segre won't be happy with that.

Zero prevents Segre from escaping the position.
Zero tries to move into full mount but can't pass Segre's legs.

Zero wants to control the pace but Segre is squirming around nicely.

A close second round but Ray Zero will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Segre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zero is defended easily by Segre.

Zero looking to sit in guard and control but Segre gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Segre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zero swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Zero wants to get back to his feet.

Zero wants to control but Segre is keeping busy.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ray Zero hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Segre shoots in but Zero avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Segre has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Segre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zero uses from the top position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Segre wriggles free and stands up.
Zero tries to bum rush Segre with a series of wild strikes but Segre uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gabe Segre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ray Zero is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Segre throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
