PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Chrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serego Alighiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alighiero's choice of entrance music: Snoop DoGG. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighiero with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chrome uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alighiero.

Alighiero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Alighiero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chrome just stands there and leans against the cage.
Alighiero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chrome walks away with a smile on his face. Alighiero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Chrome. That's going to slow Alighiero down.
Chrome shoots in for a takedown but Alighiero shows good takedown defense.

Alighiero fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chrome has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Alighiero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chrome swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chrome escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alighiero gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alighiero postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Chrome working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alighiero doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alighiero manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
