And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nasir Drogo!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo staying out of range there.
Drogo tries to clinch but Monday is having none of it.
A lazy left from Monday finds it's target.
Drogo misses with a hook. Monday ducked under it nicely.
Monday fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drogo manages to avoid it.
Monday throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Drogo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Monday uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drogo has time to react.
Monday lands a nice shot that snaps Drogo's head back.
Monday drops his hands momentarily and Drogo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Drogo throws a hook but Monday blocks it.

Monday changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Drogo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Monday working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Drogo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Monday remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Drogo is not content to let Monday control the position.
Monday cracks Drogo with a big right hand but Drogo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Drogo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Monday asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Drogo tries to buck Monday off but Monday is having none of it.

Monday is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Drogo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Monday gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Drogo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Monday lets go of the hold and Drogo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
