PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Baksteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Saddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saddi has chosen Duran Duran - The Wild Boys as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baksteen throws a hook but Saddi blocks it.
Saddi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baksteen tries to avoid it but Saddi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baksteen to the ground. Baksteen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Saddi takes one on the button.
Baksteen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Saddi tries a head kick but it misses.
Saddi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baksteen just misses with a punch to the body.
Baksteen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Baksteen with a hook.
Baksteen connects with a body shot that sends Saddi's belly button to the back.
Baksteen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Baksteen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Saddi sprawling to the canvas! Saddi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Baksteen finish him?!

Saddi is rocked!
Baksteen fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Saddi square on the jaw! Damn, Saddi is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
