Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolf West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf West has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West catches Cruz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Cruz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
West changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

and Cruz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
West looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice jab there from West.
Sloppy strikes from West. Those never looked like landing.

West closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
West is pressed up against the cage. Cruz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag West down to the mat. West avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wolf West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Cruz.
West throws a series of punches but Cruz avoids them all with ease.
West throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cruz on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

West throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Cruz's jaw, knocking him onto his back! West dives in looking to finish as Cruz flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block West's strikes! West is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Cruz's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Cruz was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wolf West!
