Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Neil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Texas Trash!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trash is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Neil.
Trash ducks under a wild hook from Neil.
Neil throws a predictable looking body shot
and Trash counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A big right from Trash misses.
Neil throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Trash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Trash connects with a good right hand that stumbles Neil. Neil circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Neil jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Neil connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Trash momentarily.
Michael Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circling - Neil throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Neil throws a nice looking combination but Trash bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Trash scores with a crisp jab that stopped Neil in his tracks.

Neil throws a lazy right hand but Trash sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Neil loads up on a big right hand but Trash slips the punch.
Trash lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Neil ducks under a wild hook from Trash.
Neil throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A shot to the body from Neil misses
and Trash counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Trash getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Neil takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Neil uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trash.
Trash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Neil was well out of range. Poor timing from Trash.

and Trash counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Trash has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Neil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trash manages to avoid it.

Neil is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Trash's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Neil lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neil.
Neil thuds a left hand into Trash's body.
Trash cracks Neil with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neil swings for the body but Trash moves out of range.
Neil wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Neil throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trash sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Trash takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Neil moves forwards but Trash connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Neil is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trash loads up on a big right hand but Neil slips the punch.
Trash uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Neil.
Trash slips a jab from Neil.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Texas Trash will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Trash's corner calls for a 1-2. Trash obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Neil misses with a hook

and Trash counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Neil trying to hold on to Trash's head to control him but Trash postures up.
Neil wants to sweep but Trash has passed to side control!
Neil is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trash controlling from side mount.

Trash working away.
Trash content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Neil is trying to control Trash's posture but Trash avoids it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neil looking for a sweep but Trash has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Trash controlling the pace for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neil tries to lock up and control but Trash gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Trash staying out of range there.
Neil looks to land a left hand but Trash moved out of range nicely.
Trash ducks under a wild hook from Neil.
Trash takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Neil misses with an uppercut. Trash saw that one coming.
Trash paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Trash connects with a jab.
Trash's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Trash duly obliges.
Trash misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Neil.
A jab from Neil finds it's way through Trash's defenses.
Neil scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Neil throws a lazy uppercut
and Trash counters with a nice uppercut.
A slow jab from Neil misses its intended target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trash keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Trash connects with a right hand. Neil shakes it off.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neil throws the left hand but Trash avoids the punch easily.

Texas Trash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Neil looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Trash scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Trash decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neil wants to get back to full guard but Trash has passed into side control.
Trash is staying tight to Neil's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Neil tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Trash presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Trash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Neil is in all sorts of trouble here.

Texas Trash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Trash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
