The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnell clobbers Coldon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
OConnell throws a head kick but Coldon moves out of range.
OConnell lands a right hook to the body.
OConnell feints a jab promting Coldon to slip. OConnell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Coldon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Coldon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
OConnell misses with a wild body shot.
Nice defenses there by Coldon.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coldon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. OConnell was covering up waiting for the punch and Coldon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OConnell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coldon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OConnell can do anything to dispel that myth.

Coldon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Coldon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. OConnell looks a forlorn figure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Coldon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force OConnell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so OConnell shrugs it off.
