The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes tries to bum rush Joaquin with a series of wild strikes but Joaquin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Moraes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Moraes tries to clinch there but Joaquin circles away.
Moraes wants to clinch.
Moraes thumps Joaquin with a low kick.

Moraes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Moraes's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Moraes tries to work over Joaquin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Moraes jumps guard but Joaquin stands there with Moraes around his waist. Moraes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Moraes breaks from the clinch.
Moraes feints and then cracks Joaquin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joaquin down.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Moraes gets caught napping as Joaquin dives in and scores a takedown. Moraes manages to retain guard.
Joaquin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Joaquin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Moraes is wriggling around trying to escape but Joaquin has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Moraes taps out and Joaquin picks up the big win! Great work there by Joaquin!
