Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manny Paqiuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpha Omega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paqiuo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Omega looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Paqiuo is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Paqiuo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Omega pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Omega is pressed up against the cage. Paqiuo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Omega down to the mat. Omega avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Omega is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Paqiuo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Omega to the mat! Omega manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Omega has his feet on Paqiuo's thighs here. He's pushed Paqiuo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Paqiuo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
