Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Fabio Jones!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Fizzlebeef.
Fizzlebeef tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Fizzlebeef.
Jones throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Fizzlebeef counter with a right hand.
Fizzlebeef's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fizzlebeef duly obliges.
Fizzlebeef moves into range and connects with a jab.


Jones is rocked!
Jones looks to land a right hand but Fizzlebeef moved out of range.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Fizzlebeef finish him?
Fabio Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones misses with a straight left.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
A swing and a miss from Jones.
Left hook, right uppercut from Fizzlebeef.
Fizzlebeef fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fizzlebeef fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Fizzlebeef defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fizzlebeef has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
Jones misses with some punches.
Fizzlebeef goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Fizzlebeef is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fizzlebeef trying to stall but Jones improves his position.
Jones throws a head punch that misses.
Jones misses with some punches.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fizzlebeef.

Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fizzlebeef quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jones throws a strike but Fizzlebeef avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fizzlebeef swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jones wants to control from the top but Fizzlebeef keeps moving.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fizzlebeef keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fizzlebeef works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fizzlebeef might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jones throwing strikes from guard but Fizzlebeef blocks nicely.
Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Jones stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Fizzlebeef has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Jones manages to get his head free but now Fizzlebeef has transitioned to an armbar! Jones grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Fizzlebeef! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Roll Fizzlebeef!
Our winner, Roll Fizzlebeef, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
