PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Callme Fukinmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fukinmaster has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Ethan Harris could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Callme Fukinmaster's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Callme Fukinmaster!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukinmaster tries to clinch up

and Harris counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fukinmaster looks winded!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Harris wants to stand up but Fukinmaster has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Fukinmaster is looking to improve his position.

Harris stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Harris shoots in looking for a takedown but Fukinmaster manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Harris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Harris takes the fight into the clinch.

Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fukinmaster closes the distance but Harris moves to the side

and Harris counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Harris managing to block the knees to the body from Fukinmaster.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Harris wants to stand but Fukinmaster is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fukinmaster wants to pass the guard but Harris is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fukinmaster is controlling him.

Fukinmaster has gone for a leg lock! Harris slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fukinmaster's guard.
Harris wants to stand but Fukinmaster has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fukinmaster working for submissions but it's allowed Harris to get to half guard.

Fukinmaster actively working from the bottom here.

Harris stands up out of the half guard.
Harris throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Harris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fukinmaster was covering up waiting for the punch and Harris finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Fukinmaster is working an open guard so Harris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Harris fails with a takedown attempt.

Harris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Harris successfully pulls guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harris pushes Fukinmaster off and gets back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Harris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fukinmaster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harris tries for a takedown but Fukinmaster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fukinmaster tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Harris scores with a shot to the body.

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harris tries to pull guard but Fukinmaster holds him up against the cage and eventually Harris drops back down to his feet.
Fukinmaster is breathing heavily.
Harris is trying to break free.

Harris can't break the clinch.
Fukinmaster is trying to maintain a safe position but Harris gets an underhook and turns Fukinmaster into the cage.

Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fukinmaster stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick from Harris lands but Fukinmaster takes it in his stride.
Nice takedown defense from Fukinmaster. No joy for Harris on that attempt.

Harris closes the distance and clinches.
Fukinmaster is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Harris jumps into guard, dragging Fukinmaster to the mat.

Fukinmaster is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harris has escaped and now he's on top!

Harris decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fukinmaster, up you get!

and Harris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Fukinmaster prevents Harris from breaking the clinch.
Harris lands a hook to the side of the head.
Harris working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Fukinmaster with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris lands a shot to the body.

Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Harris closes the distance and clinches.
Harris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fukinmaster gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Harris is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fukinmaster to keep the fight standing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Harris dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fukinmaster prevents a takedown attempt there.
Harris is trying to pull guard but Fukinmaster has him pressed against the cage.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harris closes the distance and clinches up with Fukinmaster, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes Fukinmaster against the cage but Fukinmaster circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fukinmaster wants to clinch but Harris slips to the side
and Harris counters with a stiff right hand.
No luck for Fukinmaster with that takedown attempt.
Harris fails with the takedown.

Fukinmaster gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fukinmaster is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harris is aware though and is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Fukinmaster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harris stands up from Fukinmaster's guard - Harris perhaps looking for a knockout.
Callme Fukinmaster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Harris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. Fukinmaster tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fukinmaster manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fukinmaster tries to clinch up

and Harris counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fukinmaster!
Fukinmaster is looking to get to half guard.
Fukinmaster is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Harris is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Harris clinches with his opponent.
Fukinmaster prevents Harris from breaking the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris breaks from the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Harris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fukinmaster is trying to defend but Harris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Harris decides to stand and escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ethan Harris showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Harris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
