Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donald Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Westwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donald Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andy Westwood!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westwood throws a half hearted mid kick.
Westwood punishes Stewart's body with a nice straight punch.
Westwood sizes up Stewart with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Westwood tries to sprawl but Stewart drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Westwood preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Westwood moves into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stewart wanted to stand there but Westwood had control of the position.

Stewart drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Westwood manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stewart has Westwood in his guard.

Westwood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stewart kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Stewart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Westwood is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stewart with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Westwood looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stewart has picked Westwood up and slammed him! Westwood can't keep hold of the triangle and Stewart manages to pass to side control!

Westwood is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stewart is pushing down on Westwood's leg trying to pass to half guard. Westwood is fighting to maintain full guard but Stewart has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Westwood tries to roll over but Stewart keeps him under control.
Donald Stewart overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stewart is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Donald Stewart wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Stewart slips a jab and a cross from Westwood.
A decent looking cross lands there for Westwood.
Westwood blocks a head kick by Stewart.

Stewart scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Westwood tries to buck Stewart off but Stewart is having none of it.
Stewart slows the pace down.
Westwood sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Westwood has hold of Stewart's hands but Stewart slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Westwood is refusing to be controlled, as Stewart sits in half guard.
Westwood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Stewart wants to stand but Westwood has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Westwood looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Stewart stands and throws Westwood's legs to the side, diving into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Westwood tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stewart wants to take a breather but Westwood manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Stewart.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stewart wants to control from the top but Westwood keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donald Stewart dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Stewart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Westwood goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stewart turns into him and now he's in Westwood's guard.

Stewart looking to hit a scissor sweep but Westwood is one step ahead there.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stewart holds on and takes a little breather.

Westwood is looking for a kimura here.
Westwood is looking to advance position but Stewart won't allow it.

Westwood is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stewart doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Westwood.
Stewart has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Westwood is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Westwood working over Stewart with some ground and pound. Stewart looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Westwood seems to be working for a kimura but Stewart defends the submission attempt.
Westwood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stewart with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Andy Westwood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Westwood has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
