Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov fails with the takedown

and Stewart counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fedorov throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Stewart is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fedorov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stewart.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fedorov landing strikes from the bottom.
Fedorov is pressing down on Stewart's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Stewart is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fedorov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

It looks like Paul Stewart has been cut.
Stewart is bucking up trying to escape but Fedorov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fedorov cracks Stewart with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

A determined Alexander Fedorov didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
