The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Drens or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompson which made him look bad.
No luck for Drens with that takedown attempt.
Thompson fails to land with a series of punches.
Thompson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Drens shoots in looking for a takedown but Thompson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Drens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sean Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mathew Drens.
Thompson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drens.
Sean Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thompson lands a big head kick that sends Drens tumbling to the mat! Thompson takes a step backwards and waves Drens back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Thompson throws a right hand that Drens ducks under and follows up with a left that Drens also avoids with ease.

Thompson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Drens. That did some damage!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Drens is defended easily by Thompson.

Drens gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
