Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gary Dove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damon Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce has chosen Eve 6 - Inside Out as his entrance music. Damon Pierce has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damon Pierce!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dove.
Pierce has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pierce there as he acknowledges the shot.

Pierce looks to score with a jab to the body but Dove is just out of range.
Pierce jabs Dove to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pierce is defended easily by Dove.

Pierce closes the distance and clinches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dove escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pierce gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pierce is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Dove's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pierce fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Dove can't escape the position.
Dove is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dove sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Pierce seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dove does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pierce sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dove is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Dove manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pierce's best efforts.
Pierce is nestled in close to Dove, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Pierce slips a nice elbow through Dove's hands, connecting with Dove's forehead.

Pierce lands a big elbow - Dove is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Pierce!
