The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cartman.
Cartman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cartman wants to control but Degroski is keeping him busy.

Cartman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Degroski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Degroski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cartman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Degroski has managed to get both his arms back between Cartman's legs - danger averted.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonas Degroski hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Degroski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cartman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Degroski's waist but Degroski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cartman off to one side.

Cartman is nestled in close to Degroski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Degroski on the ground.

Cartman has gone for a leg lock! Degroski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cartman's guard.
