The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peace closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Abdalla to the mat! Abdalla manages to get full guard.
Peace is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Peace won't allow Abdalla to sweep him here.
Peace tries to free his leg and advance position but Abdalla is retaining full guard.

Peace fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Peace ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Restin Peace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peace shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Abdalla is trying to defend but Peace finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Peace throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Abdalla tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peace is in Abdalla's guard.

Peace sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Abdalla's guard.

Abdalla keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Peace has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Peace is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Peace wants to pass the guard but Abdalla is defending well.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Peace passes to side control.
Peace is chipping away with strikes.
Peace is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Abdalla's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Peace has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Peace tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peace content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Restin Peace hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Peace lands with a nice body punch.
Peace is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Abdalla rather than just go for the knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peace sends Abdalla crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Peace is motioning to the referee to let Abdalla up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Peace shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Abdalla takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Peace sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Abdalla bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
