The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Stone.
Stone slaps away a takedown attempt from Bergasmarchi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bergasmarchi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stone misses with a wild combination.
Stone throws a right hand that Bergasmarchi ducks under and follows up with a left that Bergasmarchi also avoids with ease.
Stone jabs Bergasmarchi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Some wild striking there from Stone.
Stone throws a series of punches but Bergasmarchi avoids them all with ease.
Stone lands an overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bergasmarchi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stone's waist but Stone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bergasmarchi off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bergasmarchi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stone defends it nicely.
Silva Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustavo Bergasmarchi.
Bergasmarchi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stone.
Stone dances in with a quick combination. Bergasmarchi is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Stone snaps Bergasmarchi's head back. Bergasmarchi stumbles backwards against the cage. Stone steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Bergasmarchi's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Bergasmarchi just didn't come prepared.
