The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grovinsky forces McDaniels back against the cage and clinches.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Grovinsky.
McDaniels tries for a takedown. No joy.
McDaniels drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grovinsky gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Grovinsky struggles to land a body shot inside as McDaniels controls his hands.
McDaniels has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Grovinsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Grovinsky tries to land a knee to the head but McDaniels blocks with his arms.

McDaniels goes for a takedown in the clinch but Grovinsky prevents it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grovinsky is pressed up against the cage. McDaniels has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Grovinsky down to the mat. Grovinsky avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Grovinsky throws a head kick that misses.

Grovinsky knocks McDaniels to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Grovinsky cracks McDaniels with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Grovinsky immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! McDaniels is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Grovinsky!
