PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silent Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes into the arena with mama said knock you out blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Silent Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bob is defended easily by Wilson.

Bob takes the fight into the clinch.
Bob wants a takedown.
Bob is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silent Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bob fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bob is looking for a takedown.

Wilson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bob is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wilson to the mat. Wilson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bob won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet.

Bob gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bob is breathing heavily.

Wilson lands a big uppercut and Bob crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bob looks OK. Wilson waves Bob back to his feet!

Bob is rocked!

It looks like Silent Bob has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bob tries to clinch there but Wilson circles away.
Oh Bob is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Some wild striking there from Wilson.
Wilson misses with a double jab

and Bob counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bob stops Wilson from standing up.
Bob seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bob wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bob stops Wilson from standing up.
Wilson is looking to stand back up but Bob counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wilson.
Bob lands with a punch from half guard.
Bob looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bob seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wilson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Silent Bob!
After winning the bout, Silent Bob thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
