Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danjou Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fook Yue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Danjou Yamato has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yue closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Yue throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yamato tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yue is in Yamato's guard.

Yue changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yamato looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Yamato crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yue - the referee stops the clock and Yamato gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yue. Yamato manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Yue remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
