PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Game Time Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hybrid Conscious . Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Shamrock throws a leg kick but Jones checks it.
Shamrock throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jones checks a low kick from Shamrock.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shamrock leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Game Time Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shamrock drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones prevents Shamrock from moving into mount.
Jones sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Shamrock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shamrock works his way into full mount!

Shamrock goes for an armbar but Jones turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jones.
Jones lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shamrock looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.

Shamrock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shamrock tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.
Jones is putting a hurting on Shamrock here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shamrock is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Shamrock tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.
Shamrock is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
