The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jackson, right into the meat.

Cortez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cortez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cortez lands a big elbow.
Cortez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jackson's face.
Cortez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cortez cracks Jackson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
