Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrion Lannister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lannister fails with the takedown

and Bashor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lannister's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lannister working for a triangle but Bashor defends it easily.
Lannister tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lannister has momentary wrist control but Bashor slips an elbow through the middle.
Bashor stays in close to Lannister's body and controls the position.
Bashor wants to control from the top but Lannister keeps moving.
Bashor wants to pass the guard but Lannister is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bashor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bashor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bashor drops an elbow to the side of Lannister's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bashor lands a nice short elbow.
Bashor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lannister with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lannister is desperately trying to improve his position but Bashor has a good base and remains in mount.

It looks like Tyrion Lannister has been cut.
Lannister is looking to get to half guard.

Bashor has control of Lannister's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lannister regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lincoln Bashor.

The referee warns Lannister that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That has opened up Tyrion Lannister's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tyrion Lannister's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
