The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight doesn't manage to clinch there - Carson circles away.

Knight gets tackled into the cage by Carson. Carson maintains the clinch.
Carson tries to throw a body punch but Knight avoids it by throwing Carson back against the cage.

Knight is working for takedown but Carson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Carson is trying to maintain a safe position but Knight gets an underhook and turns Carson into the cage.

Knight wants to get back to striking at distance but Carson won't allow it.

Knight has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carson after a bit of a struggle.

Knight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carson walks away with a smile on his face. Knight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tony Carson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Knight.
Knight throws a leg kick but Carson moved away.
Carson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Carson slaps away a takedown attempt from Knight, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knight's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Knight scrambles back to his feet.

Knight darts in trying to clinch
and Carson counters with a left to the body.
Carson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Knight fails to land the takedown.
Knight tries to clinch but Carson moves away
and Carson counters with a series of strikes. Knight will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Aaron Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carson clobbers Knight with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Carson works over Knight's head and body with a nice combination.

Knight closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carson quickly recovers to half guard.

Knight in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Carson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Knight!
