Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Springer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Springer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Oneil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Jerry Springer!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Springer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Springer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oneil fails in his attempt to clinch.
Springer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Oneil will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oneil clobbers Springer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oneil tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Springer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Springer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oneil has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oneil tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Springer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Springer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Springer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Oneil but Oneil pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mickey Oneil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Springer.
Springer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oneil shoots for a takedown but Springer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Springer tries to keep at a distance but Oneil has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oneil is trying to push Springer away but Springer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Oneil works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Oneil drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oneil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Oneil won't allow Springer to sweep him here.

Oneil might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Oneil decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Oneil rushes Springer and presses him up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Springer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Oneil gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Springer.

Springer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Springer wants to control from the top but Oneil keeps moving.

Oneil has his foot on Springer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Springer works his way back into a safe position though.

Jerry Springer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Jerry Springer.
I think Springer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
